Dr Peggy Tompkins is currently based in CSAFE as Project Manager for the development of a Centre for Research Excellence in Sustainable Land Use. This project involves building a research network around sustainability issues, with the goal of involvement of researchers from across New Zealand. Peggy gained her PhD in Neuroscience from the Medical College of Georgia in the U.S. in 1997. She worked in biomedical research for a number of years before moving to research management.
