Marion Mondot is a fourth year student in agronomy at the Institut National Agronomique in Paris-Grignon, France, and is doing a six month internship at CSAFE. The institute gives students the chance to do a one year of internship before the last year of their studies. She spent the first half of her internship year in Washington working for the economic agency in the agricultural department of the French Embassy. She was studying American agricultural policy, focusing on the stakes of the new Farm Bill 2007. She has not only come to New Zealand to discover the country and its beautiful landscapes, but also to learn about the agriculture in this part of the world and is particularly interested in the environmental side of things.
