Macarena Droguett worked with CSAFE until March 2007 as a volunteer researcher. After completing her degree in Veterinary Sciences at Universidad Austral in the south of Chile, she worked for a government programme with a focus on multicultural integral development for indigenous groups. Her main involvement was as field project manager for Mapuche communities. She came to New Zealand to get into the kiwi culture and the language, and expand her personal and professional vision.
