Dr Janet Grice joined CSAFE in April of 2006 as a Senior Research Fellow working on the implications of genetic engineering within salmon aquaculture. Janet was awarded her PhD in 2000 for her study of Australian consumer perceptions and acceptance of genetically engineered foods. Before joining CSAFE, she held a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship within the School of Social Science, The University of Queensland. She is a Principal Investigator on the ARC funded project The Social Construction of Safe Foods: Uncertainty, Risk and Trust in Agri-food Applications of Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) and the CRC for Innovation in Sugar Cane funded project Evaluation of knowledge and attitudes to biotechnology and genetic engineering in sugarcane among industry stakeholders.
