Dr Jamie Newman

Dr Jamie Newman recently joined CSAFE physically by moving into the centre’s newly acquired and refurbished office space in July 2007. His involvement with the centre dates back to its beginning through his work with the Kia Mau Te Tītī Mo Ake Tonu Atu ("Keep the Tītī Forever") Research Project which he has worked on for the past 8 years. Jamie has a PhD from Plymouth University, England. His research at Otago has included many diverse topics related to the biological, social, and cultural aspects of helping manage the tītī and the islands they are harvested on.
