Corey Bragg joined CSAFE in July 2009. He is an Assistant Research Fellow, and has worked on the following projects: Te Tiaka Mahinga Kai focusing on fisheries management within taiāpure and mātaitai (Māori Fisheries Reserves); the Kia Mau Te Tītī Mo Ake Tōnu Atu research group on the sustainability of the tītī (muttonbird) harvest; and the Agriculture Research Group on Sustainability, assisting with ecological surveys. He is now working as a researcher on a computer support package for muttonbirding families. He is also the centre's Kaiāwhina Māori, acting as the support person for students and staff.
Corey has a background in ecology, and also volunteers for a number of committees supporting Kāi Tahu. Corey's research interests include conservation management, kaitiakitanga, and customary use of wildlife by Māori.
